(The genre will mostly be rock, since I am a rock girl)

Ok, so I know you guys have really great taste in music, right. So I wanted to tell you about this guy;
He’s an up-and-coming danish singer/songwriter. He’s also a really great guy that I’ve known my entire life, because he’s the son of a really good friend of my parents’s.
According to what I’ve read about his music, the warm humor I know him for is reflected in his lyrics. He’s in studio right now, and his debut album is expected this year.
It would mean a lot to me if you would give him a listen, and like his Facebook-page.
Thank you.

ABOUT:
The Storm used to be the very popular band Swan Lee, which went apart in 2005. The vocalist, Pernille Rosendahl, and her husband, guitarist Johan Wohlert, then went into music together, now as The Storm. Their first album was released in 2008 and was a big success, but not nearly as big as the second album, Black Luck.
While the two first albums has been quite harsh and borderline metal, their latest album, Rebel Against Yourself, is inspired by Abba, Dire Straits and Pet Shop Boys, and therefore has a more poppish and light sound than the previous albums.

ABOUT:
Peter Sommer Christensen (born in Skanderborg on August 28th 1974) is one of the most succesful singer/songwriters in Denmark for the past 10 years.
In the early 2000’s, he formed the group Superjeg with his friend, Carsten Valentin Lassen. They released two albums but never gained the big success.
He then went solo, and released the album På Den Anden Side the very first song on this album became Sommer’s biggest hit ever – Valby Bakke.
Two years later came Destruktive Vokaler This album contained a song called 8-6-6-0. 8660 is the zipcode of Sommer’s hometown. The song Man Hamrer Løs På En Åben Dør is also from this album.
His third and latest album was released in 2008. The album was in 2009 awarded 4 Steppeulve (danish award) for this album. Album of the year, Song of the year (Vi Falder Først Den Dag Vi Kigger Ned), Lyrics-author of the year, and producer of the year (Henrik Balling)
Peter Sommer is known for his quite extraordinary lyrics. They are in all danish, and often based on words with double-meanings. By first listen, it may seem as though the lyrics make no sense. But a person who speaks fluent danish and has a bit between the ears can probably make out some sense. And it truly is beautiful and meaningful sense.
In 2010, he and Simon Kvamm formed the group De Eneste To and released an album of the same name. This was a huge success.
De Eneste To has reported that they are going to “step back a bit”, and Peter Sommer has gone back to working on new material. I’d say we can expect a new album and a new tour with him and his band, Peter Sommer & Dem De Kaldte Tiggerne.

Unknown – ‘Actually’ started existing around 2009
ABOUT:
De Eneste To – which translates into The Only Two – is usually described as a ‘duo’ but does in fact have four members. The two main figures, though, is singers, musicians and songwriters, Peter Sommer and Simon Kvamm. The pair have known each other for more than 10 years and is the bestest of friends. Árni Bergmann Jóhannsson is an up-and-coming musician from the Faroe Islands and Stefan Kvamm is Simon Kvamm’s 4 years younger brother.
Both Peter Sommer and Simon Kvamm has had great success in Denmark with their own projects – Simon as frontfigure in the rockband Nephew and Peter as a solo pop/rock artist – and decided to team up and form the band, De Eneste To.
Both Simon Kvamm and Peter Sommer is very famous for their quite special lyrics – Peter’s often don’t make sense if you don’t think about them and the lyrics of Nephew is also something of their very own. The mix of these brilliant brains and skills-with-words resulted in 12 songs about friendship, home, being a father/husband, religion and getting drunk. But in a sneakily disguised way, so you actually think they’re very deep and important.
De Eneste To is a very relaxed band to see live – it is Simon and Peter standing at the front of the stage with an acoustic guitar and a microphone each, while Stefan and Árni is handling stuff like drums, tambourines, computer-music and buttons at the back.
Less than a year after their first, and only, album was released, they have announced that they’re ‘going to take a break’ – they’re not going to stop existing or working together, but Peter and Simon wants to go back to their respective projects (Peter’s solo project and Simon’s band Nephew)
Their lyrics are only in danish.

ABOUT:
The William Blakes is a bunch of wicked, playful guys who play über-cool music. Their first album ‘Wayne Coyne” was named after the vocalist of Flaming Lips and the band name is from the english writer, William Blake.
Their lyrics are not always about ‘just love’ – Their song, ‘Science Is Religion’ is about.. Well, the battle between science and religion. Songwriter Kristian Leth wrote this after first reading about scientist’s discovery of ‘dark-matter’.
The William Blakes never do the same thing twice – the difference between the songs ‘It Looked Like Us’ and ‘The Light (Plane To Spain)’ is pretty big.
One of the trademarks of the band is their humour. The musicvideo ‘Secrets of the State’ contains a bunch of danish artists (for an example, Nephew, Thomas Troelsen, Remee, Hej Matematik) and a lot of funny costumes.
